James Libante (Double Bass)

Having his father as his first teacher he pursued studying bass also under Maestro Ronquillo (Conductor of the Philippine Philharmonic orchestra) and Delfin Calderon (Hongkong Symphony Orchestra). He had a 9-month contract at Fred Olsen Cruise Line’s MS Braemar that cruised Europe and the Caribbean islands. James is currently Leading the Ensemble together with his father Mr. Arnulfo Libante.


Diane Libante (Violin/Arranger)

Started playing violin at the young age of 15 in St. Scholastica’s College under Mary Grace Martinez del Rosario and was part of Predis Symphony Orchestra. Diane Libante took Conservatory Of Music in University of Santo Tomas and was a member of UST Symphony Orchestra. Writing and arranging music score/sheet for Libante Strings. She is the eldest daughter of Mr. Arnulfo Libante.


Arnie Libante (Marketing Director, Percussion)

He is the one responsible for the overall marketing operations of the Libante Strings. Arnie graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology major in Systems Engineering at Colegio de San Juan de Letran. He plays the percussion and he is the one in-charge for the modern repertoire of the group.


Mike Saraza (Piano)

Studied piano at St. Scholastica’s College focusing in Jazz and Classical music and started playing on cruise ships (Royal Caribbean International & Holland America Lines) since 18 years old. He is the older brother of violin virtuoso Diomedes Saraza Jr. who is now an alumni at The Juilliard School New York, USA. Mike also plays in different hotels in the Philippines when on vacation.


Michael De Leon (Flute)

Started studying flute at the tender age of 12 under Maestro Feddie Timbang, Conductory of Las Pinas Band. After showing great potential as a musician he quickly became the Principal Flutist of the Band and one of the soloist for the band. Michael finished Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance at University of Santo Tomas under the tutolage of Professor Enrique Barcelo. He is the former Assistant Principal Flutist of the UST Symphony Orchestra.


Erwin Rodriguez (Violin)

Started studying violin under Jamie Sales in Pasaknungan Foundation at a very young age of 5. Continued his career at University of the Philippines under Mr. Arturo Molina. In 1999 he started teaching less fortunate children and formed the Rodriguez String Ensemble. Erwin Rodriguez is playing in cruise ships for 18 years.


Archie Lacorte (Saxophone/Flute)

Graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Music degree in Saxophone, and from the Elisabeth University in Hiroshima Japan with a M.A. degree in Saxophone. His professional experience include performance at the 1st Philippines International Jazz Festival, Hua Hin Internation Jazz Festival 2009, 4th Asian Band Festival 2003 Bangkok, Thailand, 2006 Music and Arts Festival Hsing Kang Taiwan, 2007 Manila Jazz Festival, 2011 Isla Salsa Latin Festival, 1st Prize Winner in WILDVINES Music Competition. Gigs and Performances include Cultural Center of the Philippines, Smart Araneta Center, Manila Hotel, Manila Peninsula, Music Museum, Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Diamond Hotel, Hyatt Hotel and Casino, Sofitel Philippine Plaza, Makati Shangri-La Hotel and Pearl of the Pacific Boracay Island.
